PTO / PTA

Fund the year without the envelopes.

Parent organizations run the fundraisers everyone remembers, and carry the volunteer load that comes with them. The single biggest change a digital campaign makes is not the total raised — it is that nobody spends three evenings counting cash.

What this actually looks like

The pressures that shape a campaign for this kind of group.

  • The volunteer load is the real cost

Sorting product and reconciling envelopes is where parent organizations lose the volunteers they need next year.

  • Paper forms miss most families

Anyone who did not send the form back is simply not in the campaign. A sharing link reaches relatives two states away.

  • Treasurers need a clean record

A live total and a clear export beat a shoebox and a spreadsheet rebuilt from memory in November.

How we would approach it

A starting point, not a script. The plan changes once we know your calendar.

  1. Run the main campaign in the first six to eight weeks of the year
  2. Grade or classroom leaderboards to spread participation
  3. Name the goal after something visible in the building
  4. Report progress at the monthly meeting, not only at the end
  5. Keep a smaller spring campaign in reserve rather than running all year

Questions

Questions from groups like yours

Straight answers, including the ones without a comfortable number attached.

What kinds of groups can fundraise this way?

School sports teams, school-wide campaigns, youth leagues, travel and club teams, cheer, dance, band and marching band, PTO and PTA groups, and other clubs and community organizations. If your group has participants who can share a page, it fits.

Do we still have to handle cash and envelopes?

Supporters give digitally through the platform, so there is far less cash to collect, count and reconcile than in a traditional paper fundraiser.

How does our group receive the money?

Funds raised come to your group through the MoneyDolly platform once the campaign is complete. Specific terms, timing and any applicable fees are set by MoneyDolly and are covered during setup.

How much work is this for our coaches and volunteers?

The setup work is front-loaded and we do most of it with you. Once the campaign is live, the day-to-day is participants sharing their own pages rather than volunteers managing inventory, order forms or cash.
